The use of narcotics has gripped the life and future of youth. It is ruining society socially, physically, culturally, emotionally, and economically. In this context, educational institutions have a major role to address the problem. Anti narcotic&anti alcoholic club, functioning in SNM College Maliankara aims to prevent and control the supply and usage of drugs among students.Being part of initiatives taken by the Government of Kerala against drugs, Anti-narcotic & anti-alcoholic club, also took stepsto wipe out various types of narcotic products outside the campus. The major activities of the club include conducting rallies, poster presentations, campaigns, and group discussions inside and outside the campus. A vigilance group of teachers is formed to prevent the sale or use of drugs on campus. The club arranges various awareness programmes in association with Kerala government departments of excise and health. It also focuses to provide life skill education to students which enables them to lead a drug-free life.
OBJECTIVES:
To prevent and control the usage of drugs among students inside the campus.
To make students aware of the ill- effects of drugs through various programmes.
To monitor and report narcotics use among students
To conduct awareness programs through the student community.
MISSION:
The Anti narcotic &Anti Alcoholic club aims to ensure a drug-free campus. Its goal is to encourage students to become agents against drugs and to create a drug-free community. The mission is to equip students to instil self-respect in their minds and be responsible citizens.
