As per the MG University Statutes / Chapter 23/ Clause 20/ College council 20
(1) Every college shall have a duly constituted college council, property representing the teaching staff, to advise the Principal in the internal affairs of the college. It shall consist of all Heads of Departments or Lecturers in charge of the Departments including the Department of Physical Education and not less than two members of the teaching staff elected by members of the teaching staff other than Heads of Departments from among themselves.
(2)The college council shall meet at least once in three months and the minutes of the meetings shall be recorded.
(3) If the Principal over- rules the decision of the college council, it shall be reported to the vice- chancellor.
